Adam Woźniak, Principal Cello
Adam Woźniak was born in 1991 in Kraków. He studied cello at Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków under prof. Zdzisław Łapiński, Musikhochschule Lubeck under prof. Ulf Tischbirek and chamber music at Karol Szymanowski Academy of music in Katowice under Maria Szwajger- Kułakowska.
He took part in many masterclasses with cellists such as Julius Berger, Peter Buck, Michael Flaksman, Jeroen Reuling, Morten Zeuthen and Aleksander Gebert.
Adam Woźniak is a multiple prize winner in national and international cello competitions.
As a soloist he appeared in Kraków Philharmonic, Lower SIlesian Philharmonic, Kalisz Philharmonic, National Opera and Theatre in Warsaw, Meistersingerhalle in Nurnberg.
As a chamber musician and a soloist he has performed at many festivals such as La Folle Journee de Varsovie, Oberstdorfer Musiksommer and Mozariana in Gdansk.
He has performed chamber music concerts with renowned musicians such as The Swedish String Quartet, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Piotr Tarcholik, Jeroen Reuling, Barnaba Poprawski, Michael Lethiec and Jurek Dybał.
Currently he performs in a duo with pianist Ewa Baranowska-Woźniak and is a principal cellist in Aalborg Symfoniorkester.
